“This new data demonstrates that following the initial implementation phase, people’s habits are now reverting back to before the introduction of 20mph.
“With compliance falling, air quality getting worse and no evidence of a reduction in road casualties; Labour’s justification for introducing this £33m policy - that will wield a heavy blow of £9bn to the Welsh economy - has fallen flat.
"The only common-sense approach would be to follow what the Welsh Conservatives have said since day one - scrap the £33m scheme altogether, only have 20mph in high footfall areas and get Wales moving again."
