Responding to the Welsh Government confirming they have sent additional text messages to the COVID inquiry following a leak, Andrew RT Davies MS, Leader of the Welsh Conservatives, said:
“These revelations will be extremely distressing for people who lost loved ones during the pandemic.
“It’s sickening that there were messages floating around that were not passed to the COVID inquiry, and only came out thanks to Welsh Labour infighting.
“For the good of bereaved families, any Minister or former Minister who still has messages should salvage some dignity, do the right thing, and pass them to the inquiry.”
