Responding to an interview with Labour’s new Cabinet Secretary for Education in Wales, Tom Giffard MS, Shadow Education Minister, said:
“The new Cabinet Secretary for Education has the opportunity to undo the damage of her predecessors by tackling, the worst PISA result in the UK, falling attainment, worsening behaviour and attendance and scrap the ill thought through school holiday reform.
“Unfortunately, it would appear she hasn’t learned from her predecessors’ mistakes and nothing will change, under Labour in Wales our children will continue to come last on every measurable data point.
“The Welsh Conservatives would appropriately invest in our education, tackle violence in our schools and save Labour’s lost generation.”
