Responding to a report claiming South Wales Fire and Rescue Service firefighters need to ‘unlearn’ firefighting tactics, Joel James MS, Shadow Minister for Social Partnership, said:
“These findings will concern residents and firefighters alike.
“It’s important that firefighters are properly equipped to do the job, but it appears that operation guidelines are not up to scratch.
“Retraining must be done urgently, while keeping a close eye on retention of firefighters through the process.”
