Following Mark Drakeford’s final FMQs and the First Minister’s answer regarding Tata Steel support, Andrew RT Davies MS, Leader of the Welsh Conservatives, said:
“Given that both leadership candidates made it clear that they would support Tata and our Welsh steelworkers during this difficult period, urgent clarity is needed from Labour ministers following my questions today.
“We need to know the nature of and amount of funding behind proposals alluded to by the First Minister regarding retraining for Port Talbot steelworkers.
“For about five years, the Labour Welsh Government haven’t put a single penny on the table to support our Welsh steelworkers, so we need those answers fast.”
