Responding to Labour Senedd Members voting against calling an independent investigation into Vaughan Gething’s campaign donations, Andrew RT Davies MS, Leader of the Welsh Conservatives, said:
“It is very disappointing that the First Minister whipped his Senedd Members to stop scrutiny of his campaign donations.
“People around Wales have serious questions about this cash, but Vaughan Gething wouldn’t even come to the Senedd and hear the debate about it.
“Instead of arrogantly dodging legitimate questions, the First Minister should listen to people on all sides and draw a line under this saga with an independent investigation.”
