Responding to multiple news stories of expected traffic chaos and rail cancellations for Taylor Swift fans trying to get into Cardiff today, Natasha Asghar MS, Shadow Transport Minister, said:
“Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour coming to Cardiff is one of the most highly anticipated events of the Summer. It leads the way in a multitude of concerts and events over the season, all of which Transport for Wales had plenty of time to prepare adequate transportation for.
The Welsh Labour Government must get their act together and accommodate for this large influx of people travelling into the capital. These exciting social events should not be compromised and made a stressful experience for attendees because their transport is late, cancelled, or chaotic.
Unless something changes soon, we are at risk of losing these exciting events in Cardiff. The Welsh Labour Government sadly continue to prove they are out of their depth when it comes to efficient and reliable transport for large scale events.”
