Responding to Labour’s plans to potentially scrap the inheritance tax relief for the passing on of family farms, Welsh Conservative Shadow Rural Affairs Minister, James Evans MS said:
“Scrapping this relief would be a devastating blow to Welsh farming families, putting our food security and the future of Welsh farming at risk.
“At a time when the industry is already under immense pressure, Labour’s attack on agriculture is relentless and shows how out of touch they are with the rural communities of Wales.
"Welsh Conservatives stand with our farmers and rural communities as Labour seem hell-bent on destroying the countryside.”
