Responding to the news that the UK Labour Government have voted against scrapping their family farm tax, James Evans MS, Welsh Conservative Shadow Rural Affairs Minister, said:
“I am deeply disappointed in the outcome of the debate in Westminster. Once again, Labour have shown their contempt for our farmers.
“With two Labour Governments on either side of the M4 working against the farming sector, there is a real risk that family farms will become a thing of the past.
“Labour must re-evaluate this unforgivable betrayal of our farmers or risk undermining our food security.”
