Labour’s target of million Welsh speakers may become law

Responding to the news that the Labour Government in Wales bill aiming to put into law their target of a million Welsh speakers, Tom Giffard MS, Shadow Welsh Language Minister, said:

“The Welsh language is part of the history and heritage of not just Wales but the whole United Kingdom.

“The Labour Welsh Government have a track record of missing targets, so there is no reason why they will be able to achieve this one, just look at our PISA results.”
