“The Cabinet Secretary has highlighted the steep decline in education standards over the past 25 years that her government has been in charge. Yet, she outlines no clear-cut plans on how to tackle pressing concerns from headteachers and parents across Wales.
“Schools are having to take drastic action to make ends meet due to her government’s deep cuts to the education budget with only £1.05 being spent on education for every £1.20 that Wales receives through the Barnett formula.
“The Welsh Conservatives would appropriately fund education in Wales, ensure schools can deliver the standards of education that our children deserve and save Labour’s lost generation.”
