Commenting on the news that puberty-blocking hormones will no longer be prescribed in Wales following the findings of the Cass Review, Welsh Conservative Shadow Minister for Mental Health and Early Years, Gareth Davies MS said:
“I welcome the news of this common sense decision.
“Any drug prescribed through our Welsh NHS needs a solid, evidence-based foundation to ensure its efficacy and the Cass review confirmed that puberty-blocking hormones lacked that evidence.
“The UK Conservative Government announced this move for England last month and I’m glad that the Labour Welsh Government are now following suit.”
