Commenting on his Local Government spokesperson questions in the Senedd today, Welsh Conservative Shadow Local Government Minister, Sam Rowlands MS said:
“The comments made by the Deputy Leader of Anglesey Council who said “All Tories should be shot”, are disgraceful. They bring shame upon Anglesey Council, and it is deeply troubling that someone in such a privileged position would use it to fuel hate and violence. This is especially alarming when Anglesey’s MP, Virginia Crosbie, has commented on having to wear a stab proof vest at times in her role. The former deputy leader’s comments could not be more deplorable.
“The disgraced ex-deputy leader's statement about stepping down temporarily during the investigation implies that he has not fully ruled out a return to office. Such a possibility would be obscene in light of his appalling remarks.”
