Speaking after the Welsh Conservative debate on palliative and end of life care in the Senedd today which received unanimous support, Welsh Conservative Shadow Social Justice Minister, Mark Isherwood MS, who also Chairs the Cross-Party Group on Hospice and Palliative Care in the Senedd, said:
“It was fantastic to see cross-party support in the Senedd chamber today as parties of all stripes, including the Welsh Government, backed our Welsh Conservative motion to improve access, capacity and support for the palliative care sector.
“The amount of work that went into this inquiry was considerable and there are few issues more deserving of such substantial support than our motion today.
“Nevertheless, passing this motion is just the start, we now need to see these vital points put into action, as detailed in the report, directly involving people with personal and professional cross-sector lived experience in this process.”
