“This unacceptable situation will be replicated across schools in Wales thanks to Labour’s short-sightedness.
“With parents being forced to pull pupils out of private schools and into an overwhelmed state school system, class sizes will inevitably increase and heap more pressure on hard-working teaching staff.
“Labour have already cut the education budget in real terms and cash terms, leaving schools struggling, this latest ill-informed policy will only make the situation worse. The Welsh Conservatives will always prioritise our children’s education and appropriately fund our schools.”
