Paul Davies AM, Leader of the Welsh Conservative, has hit out at comments made today by First Minister Mark Drakeford. He said:
“The First Minister’s statement today proves just how confused the Labour Party is across the UK.
“We have Mark Drakeford in Wales dismissing the country’s clear wish to leave the EU, while Jeremy Corbyn in Westminster contorts to different positions on a weekly basis to satisfy his party.
“Both demonstrate their inability to lead, because they cannot accept that Wales and the UK voted to leave the EU.
“They should be focussing on supporting the Prime Minister’s efforts to seek an improved deal with the EU and make the most of the opportunities ahead instead of seeking to overturn the wishes of voters.”
