Responding to the latest Welsh Government procurement credit card spending data revealing a number of eyebrow-raising purchases, Andrew RT Davies MS, Leader of the Welsh Conservatives said:
“The Labour Welsh Government are literally dining out on the backs of taxpayers as ministers complain of tight financial constraints and NHS waiting lists balloon for six consecutive record-breaking months.
“You couldn’t make this up.”
Peter Fox MS, Welsh Conservative Shadow Minister for Finance, added:
“Welsh taxpayers’ money deserves far more respect than this and should be used responsibly.
“We need new guidelines for what is appropriate spending and a full independent audit of all procurement card spending.”
