Commenting on the latest round of rail strikes, Welsh Conservative and Shadow Transport Minister, Natasha Asghar MS said:
“It is disappointing that rail workers are choosing to strike at the beginning of the summer, damaging businesses that are recovering from the pandemic and stopping hard working people from doing their jobs.
“Let’s not forget that these strikes will affect our frontline staff and not those with the luxury option of working from home.
“Rail is an essential form of transport for many people across the country, so it is disappointing to see these hard-left unions trying to cling on to 1950s working practices, resisting change and grinding the country to a halt.
“It is incredibly important that Transport for Wales makes arrangements to ensure that there is minimal disruption on Welsh lines.”
