The Welsh Conservatives have welcomed the news that the airlink between Cardiff Airport and Belfast will return six months following the suspension of the flight.
Commenting on the news, Welsh Conservative Shadow Minister for Transport, Natasha Asghar MS said:
“The news that this airlink is to resume is very welcome. The airport needs to be increasing the number of flights if the Labour Government is to turn its fortunes around.
“Wales needs the airport to thrive in order to boost tourism, business prospects and employment opportunities but not at the expense of taxpayers.
“Labour ministers need to now work on expanding the number of flights in and out of the airport in order to put it back into private ownership.”
