Responding to the Welsh Government making extra money available for arm’s length culture and sport bodies and Cadw, Tom Giffard MS, Shadow Minister for Culture, said:
“It’s good to see the Welsh Government holding their hands up and accepting that their funding cuts to our culture sector were too severe.
“While this money is welcome, it is not going to get these institutions out of the woods and, sooner or later, further support will be needed to protect our heritage.
“We have a duty to future generations to protect these institutions and their assets.”
