Responding to Jo Stevens’ speech to Labour party conference, Andrew RT Davies MS, Leader of the Welsh Conservatives, said:
“The Labour UK Government had nothing to offer Wales’ steel communities beyond the same Conservative deal without any additional funding, despite election promises of far more.
“The disingenuous Secretary of State should have encouraged Baroness Morgan to finally put forward some support, given that the Labour Welsh Government have yet to put a single penny on the table for Tata.”
And in response to Eluned Morgan’s speech, Davies added:
“No vision, bereft of ideas and completely delusional to the situation in the health service in Wales, Baroness Morgan’s speech was woeful.
“If Labour were listening to the people of Wales, they would have heard the outrage at Keir Starmer’s Winter Fuel Payment changes, but instead of standing up to them, she has signed up to them, betraying Welsh pensioners.”
