In April 2022, Labour launched their plans to reduce waiting lists in Wales.
They have spent £244m since 2018 and £114m since 2021, when Eluned Morgan became Health Minister. Yet, as of today waiting lists have increased for a record seventh month in a row.
Waiting list stood at over 700,000 when the plan was launched in April 2022, since their pledges and cash injection all they have managed to accomplish is increasing the total people waiting for treatment by over 100,000.
“Labour have overseen the continuous downward spiral of our Welsh NHS and since Baroness Morgan was in charge of the health service things have only gotten worse.
“Despite the millions spent and the Baroness pleading for more money from Keir Starmer, money won’t fix this issue, this crisis is down to Labour’s mismanagement of the health service.
“Only the Welsh Conservatives will stand up for Wales and prioritise the NHS by rolling out surgical, diagnostic and care hubs to ease the pressure on hospitals.”
