Commenting on a new NHS Wales report into the unusually high number of incidents of healthcare-acquired Covid-19, Sam Rowlands MS, Welsh Conservative Shadow Health Minister said:
“The Labour Welsh Government should reflect on these findings and make the changes necessary to protect patients.
“Many of the recommendations in this report marry up with Welsh Conservative calls that Labour have so far ignored, from the need for NHS staffing investment, ending discharge delays and digitalising record keeping.
“The Labour Government must modernise the Welsh NHS and learn these vital lessons, but my concern is that with Mark Drakeford back running the health service, little will change.”
