Following First Minister’s Questions, Andrew RT Davies MS, Leader of the Welsh Conservatives, said:
“The new First Minister has failed to confirm whether his campaign blew through a record-breaking sum of money during his leadership campaign.
“Vaughan Gething was far more successful in raising funds for his campaign than he was in gathering support within his own Senedd Group, and lots of people will understandably have questions about the significance of that money in his victory over Jeremy Miles.
“The outcome of that contest has determined who is now the First Minister of Wales, and transparency over these donations is essential.”
