Responding to Vaughan Gething’s statement, Andrew RT Davies MS, Leader of the Welsh Conservatives, said:
“The new First Minister may pay lip service to the people’s priorities, but after 25 years of Labour rule in Wales, his words ring hollow.
“While our waiting lists in Labour-run Wales are at near record highs, while our educational outcomes are at record lows, and while our high streets grapple with reduced business rates relief, this First Minister is still pushing on with spending £120 million on more Senedd Members and other pet projects.
“The Welsh Conservatives would scrap Labour’s vanity projects and focus resources on the people’s priorities, for the sake of our NHS, our education system and our economy.”
