Responding to claims that there is evidence to support a case of bullying by the interim chief fire officer of South Wales Fire and Rescue Service, Joel James MS, Shadow Minister for Social Partnership, said:
“The Welsh Government’s handling of South Wales Fire has been a complete shambles.
“At a time when hardworking firefighters and the public need to have confidence about the future of the Service, the Welsh Government’s commissioners have appointed somebody with serious question marks over his head with regards to his conduct and his suitability for the post.
“It is my belief that Welsh Government Ministers and their commissioners simply do not understand what needs to change in the fire and rescue service.”
