Responding to another Labour Welsh Government cabinet member criticising Vaughan Gething’s decision to take £200,000 from a controversial waste company, Andrew RT Davies MS, Leader of the Welsh Conservatives, said:
“Despite Vaughan Gething’s best efforts, this story isn’t going away.
“There are deep reservations about the First Minister’s campaign finances, and his refusal to have them independently scrutinised has only added to the concerns that his own colleagues have.
“If the First Minister has nothing to worry about, he should appoint an independent investigator to give him a clean bill of health.”
