“At a time when the First Minister of Wales has accepted donations from an environmental law breaker, the need for biodiversity champions in our nation has never been greater.
“I have passionately advocated for a Welsh Office for Environmental Protection, a blue carbon strategy, and Welsh Marine Development Plan, but this Welsh Government still has not delivered on my requested actions.
“It truly stinks that whilst Wales is facing a nature crisis, the leader of the Welsh Government has accepted £200,000 from an individual who has broken environmental law. Whilst the Labour party are right for rejecting what remains unspent of Vaughan’s donations, he should, especially on this Biodiversity Day, hand back all that he has received too”.
