Marking the 80th anniversary of D-Day, Andrew RT Davies MS, Leader of the Welsh Conservatives, said:
“Today we remember the sacrifices made for peace and democracy.
“We reflect on the Welsh contributions towards D-Day, like the 2nd Battalion South Wales Borderers who landed on the beaches. We feel pride that places in Wales were used to rehearse aspects of that famous landing, like Caswell Bay.
“And we continue to carry the stories, the gratitude and the pride for those who made brave sacrifices for our country.”
