Commenting on the latest inflation figures revealing a headline fall to 2%, the lowest level in almost three years, Welsh Conservative Shadow Minister for Economy and Energy, Samuel Kurtz MS said:
“This is positive news for people the length and breadth of Wales as inflation falls back down to normal levels.
“This fall in inflation shows that the UK Conservative Government's plan is working and should not be put at risk with the alternative being peddled by Keir Starmer, of higher taxes and uncontrolled spending.
“The Labour Welsh Government now needs to promote growth in the Welsh economy by reversing their punitive tax rise on businesses and restoring rate relief to 75% as is the case in Conservative-run England.”
