Responding to comments made by Cymru Versus Arthritis on the latest Trauma and Orthopaedic NHS waiting times, Sam Rowlands MS, Welsh Conservative Shadow Health Minister said:
“These figures stand as a stark warning to the whole UK, when Labour cannot be trusted to run the NHS.
“By not following Conservative-run England in rapidly rolling out surgical hubs and diagnostic centres, the Labour Welsh Government exacerbated the backlog to the extent that NHS waiting lists are the longest in the UK, the highest on record and are still growing.
“The Welsh Conservatives would end the scandal of Labour’s failure to pass on, to the NHS, every penny received from the UK Government as a result of health spending in England to finally cut waiting lists.”
