Responding to the Delphi study, an examination of the Labour Welsh Government’s proposal to eliminate profit from the care of looked after children, Welsh Conservative Shadow Minister for Social Care, Dr Altaf Hussain MS said:
“This report should signal the end of Labour’s Social Care Bill.
“Its findings highlight, with near-unanimous support, that this push by the Labour Welsh Government will not guarantee improved outcomes for children, which should be the primary aim.
“We cannot and should not progress with a bill that sacrifices the capacity of this integral service to provide care on the altar of Labour’s extreme ideology.”
