Responding to the Farmers’ Union of Wales comments that they are willing to work with ‘any politician’ to reach a solution on challenges facing the industry, Welsh Conservative Shadow Minister for Rural Affairs, James Evans MS, said:
“Welsh Conservatives are committed to working alongside the farming community to develop a practical and forward-thinking scheme.
“That's why at the Royal Welsh Show, we've launched our Welsh Farming and Countryside Scheme to support our farmers, whilst ensuring we look after our natural environment.
“We believe that working together, with input from those directly involved in the agricultural industry, we can create a more effective and practical scheme.”
