Responding to the Chancellor’s statement in the House of Commons today, Andrew RT Davies MS, Leader of the Welsh Conservatives said:
“Rachel Reeves is blatantly trying to rewrite history.
“While there are many things that I wish the Conservatives had done better, we did leave the UK with the fastest growing economy in the G7, with low unemployment and national insurance halved for workers.
“The books were open for Rachel Reeves to see. Be in no doubt, she’s looking for excuses to unfairly raise your taxes.”
