Responding to the Labour Welsh Government’s statement on mental health and well-being in the Senedd today, Gareth Davies MS, Welsh Conservative Shadow Minister for Mental Health and Early Years said:
“Addressing mental health issues through the NHS and beyond should be a key focus of the Labour Welsh Government.
“We should not have to wait for World Mental Health Day for these issues to receive progress updates and priority treatment. It should be a year-round job.
“The Labour Welsh Government need to stop leaning so heavily on the NHS executive, present real solutions themselves so that we can have robust accountability and delivery against the mental health objectives for which there is broad agreement.”
