“Whilst we welcome any scheme that will improve people’s homes and lower both energy consumption and energy bills, there are many elements to the scheme that are flawed.
“By offering loans that are not means tested, Labour are handing out up to £25,000 from the tax payer’s purse, that won’t be paid back for 10 years if at all.
“Instead of a loan paid for by taxpayers, the Welsh Government should be offering a green homes means tested grant for low income home owners, similar to the scheme offered by the former UK Conservative Government.”
