“Labour’s funding cuts risks the future workforce of highly trained, skilled, and experienced professionals in Wales, whilst severely limiting opportunities for young people and future generations.
“With take up of apprenticeships already declining and apprenticeship opportunities lacking in Wales, compared to England. These cuts will not only impact the number of opportunities available, it will also harm the future potential salaries of young workers, the job market as a whole and ensure an economic loss for the whole of Wales.
“Labour are behind the curve when it comes to apprenticeships, as a result we will see a substantial brain drain if there are greater options across the border, in England. We need to support our young people with a choice of career options, so that they may reach their full potential.”
