Industry groups have expressed concerns about the potential rise in business rates due to inflation.
Wales already has the highest business rates in Britain and only one business in the FTSE100.
Commenting, Shadow Minister for Local Government Sam Rowlands MS, said:
“Any potential rise in business rates is hugely concerning. Remember, under Labour we already have the highest business rates in Britain.
“Their 23 years of misrule is responsible for poor economic growth with Labour’s hostile environment for business meaning GDP output per head is the worst in the entire United Kingdom.
“Labour ministers should be prepared to step in and take action when inflation is rising sharply around the world so Welsh businesses don’t suffer.”
