Mark Isherwood was first elected as an Assembly Member for North Wales in 2003, before being re-elected in 2007, 2011, 2016 and 2021.
He also currently Chairs the Senedd/Welsh Parliament's Public Accounts and Public Administration Committee and Cross-Party Groups on Autism, Disability, Deaf Issues, Hospice and Palliative Care, Funerals and Bereavement, Fuel Poverty and Energy Efficiency, and North Wales. Deputy Chair of Senedd Cross-Party Group on Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine (Stemm).
Mark lives in Flintshire with wife Hilary. They have six children and seven grandchildren.
A former Treuddyn Community Councillor, School Governor (and Chair) of Ysgol Parc y Llan and voluntary Board Member of Venture Housing Association.
