The Prime Minister offered his personal support to the Conservative candidate for Alyn and Deeside, during a visit to the constituency.
Boris Johnson toured frozen food giant Iceland’s HQ on the Deeside Industrial Park on Friday.
He chatted with senior staff, including Iceland CEO, Sir Malcolm Walker and his son, Richard who is a Managing Director.
Speaking afterwards, the Conservative Candidate, Sanjoy Sen, said: “I was very pleased to welcome the Prime Minister to this fantastic part of Wales – and he was very pleased to be here.
He added: “He asked me how my campaign was going and it was a real boost to get his support, first-hand. I hope to be able to welcome him here again!”
On Brexit, Sanjoy, said: “I totally agree with Boris Johnson when he says that we have to get Brexit done before we can start concentrating on the things that really matter to people – like jobs, health and education.
“I look forward to holding the Welsh Labour government to account for their failures – especially in the devolved areas of health and education. I also look forward to helping to deliver the North Wales Growth Deal, and the many jobs and opportunities it promises to bring.”
