“Education in Wales is at a crisis point and has been getting worse since devolution began 25 years ago.
“Following last week’s PISA results it has become quite clear that Labour’s education plans are simply not working.
“With Wales languishing at the bottom of international league tables, Labour must focus on what matters and ditch blanket 20mph and more politicians, and instead invest in our schools and reduce the ever-widening attainment gap. A good start would be getting 5,000 more teachers into the classroom after years of declining numbers.”
