Speaking in the chamber today, the Shadow Minister for Housing, Janet Finch-Saunders MS outlined the need for higher wages rather than restrictions to support people in rural Wales get on the property ladder.
The Shadow Minister said:
“Wales is a nation of sanctuary, and there should be no bias or prejudice to interfere with people looking to buy a house.
“The people of Wales don’t need legislation or barriers to restrict people buying in Wales, they need better opportunities and higher wages in rural Wales in order to get on the housing ladder.
“Labour ministers need to focus on improving the prospects of people living in rural communities by ensuring businesses can thrive and flourish in order to provide better opportunities.”
