“Politicians in the Senedd rarely vote unanimously on a given topic. Yet, when it comes to fair HS2 funding for Wales, all parties have agreed that Wales is owed consequentials from HS2.
“Welsh Labour ardently campaigned for full consequentials of £4 billion to be given to Wales whilst in opposition. But since their Labour colleagues are running the show from Westminster, they have been attempting to justify £350 million as the new amount Wales is owed.
“With the First Minister’s failure to get any commitment from Keir Starmer for Wales’ fair share of funding, I am struggling to see how two Labour Governments working together are actually beneficial to Wales as they promised.”
