Responding to the debate on budget flexibilities and the operation of the UK Funding Framework, in which the Welsh Conservatives and Plaid Cymru co-submitted with the Welsh Government, Shadow Minister for Finance, Peter Fox MS, said:
“The Welsh Conservatives support greater budget flexibility and increased fiscal levers for the Government of Wales.
“Nevertheless, it’s crucially important for the Welsh Government to focus on the people’s priorities, such as cutting NHS waiting lists, growing our economy and boosting educational outcomes, not wasting vast amounts of money on pet projects.”
