In the Senedd today, Paul Davies asked Labour’s Julie James, the Minister for Delivery “what exactly do you do?”
Given that key performance indicators reveal that Wales remains behind other parts of the UK across the key areas of health, education and the economy, Paul Davies has questioned the Welsh Labour Government’s lack of results and meaningful targets following such an appointment.
Commenting following his exchange with the Minister, Welsh Conservative Shadow Counsel General and Shadow Cabinet Secretary for the Constitution, Paul Davies MS said:
“My question to the Minister for Delivery was a straightforward one, but one I did not receive an adequate response to today. I still don’t know what the Minister for Delivery actually does day-to-day.
“Under Labour, Wales has the longest NHS waiting lists, the worst educational outcomes and the highest unemployment rate in the UK. So the people of Wales will rightly question the performance of Labour’s so-called ‘Delivery Minister’.
“Sadly, after asking what the role, paid for by the people of Wales, has achieved so far, I was not directed to a single achievement.”
